Ukraine fears Russia could use nuclear weapons

"Look, maybe yesterday it was a lie, but now it could be the truth," President Zelensky stressed.
Ukraine views Russia's occupation of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant as "nuclear blackmail," despite Ukrainian forces repeatedly shelling the facility in recent months, President Zelensky said. "We need to keep putting pressure on Putin and not allow him to continue," he said.
Earlier the same day, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said the White House had warned Russia that there would be “catastrophic” consequences if Moscow used nuclear weapons in Ukraine./.
