Ukraine's ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko, said that Kiev is not currently disclosing data on the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces, but this would be a "terrible figure".

In an interview with the Daily Express today (April 9), the Ukrainian diplomat said: “Our policy from the beginning was not to discuss the casualties. When the fighting is over, we will announce it. I think it will be a terrible number.”

According to Mr. Prystaiko, Kiev is ready to continue the conflict with Russia to the last.

In addition, commenting on reports about preparations for an offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces with a total of 40 thousand soldiers, Mr. Prystaiko said that Kiev had mobilized 1 million people.

Russia blocks Ukrainian offensive in Zaporizhzhia direction

Ramzan Kadyrov, leader of Russia's Chechen Republic, said that the Vostok-Akhmat battalion had stopped the attack of Ukrainian units in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.

“The Vostok-Akhmat battalion did not give the Ukrainian forces the slightest chance. Ukrainian armored vehicles and servicemen were destroyed,” Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The head of Chechnya noted that the situation in the area of ​​responsibility of the Vostok-Akhmat battalion in the Zaporizhzhia direction is under control.

Regarding the situation in Zaporizhzhia, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Zaporizhzhia Government Council, said that the increase in Ukrainian activity in the Zaporizhzhia region is a sign that Ukraine is probably ready for a counterattack there.
