Ukraine and the United States have once again expressed their opposition to the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, which they consider a threat to European energy security. The joint statement was issued after a meeting between the leaders of the two countries, Vladimir Zelensky and Joe Biden, at the White House.

The two countries issued a joint statement on the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States, noting that these countries continue to oppose the Nord Stream 2 project. “The governments of Ukraine and the United States support efforts to increase gas supplies to Ukraine from diversified sources,” the statement said.
