Candidates Clinton and Harris can defeat Mr. Trump in the US presidential election
While President Biden is losing ground after a debate loss to Donald Trump, other Democrats are taking the lead as his potential replacement in the election.

According to RT on July 10, Politico (USA) said that President Biden continues to compete with Republican candidate Donald Trump for the presidency, but other members of the Democratic Party are doing better and are more influential than Mr. Biden.
Politico reports the results of an exclusive Bendixen & Amandi poll following President Biden's dismal performance against Trump in the debate. Accordingly, the US leader is behind his opponent by 42% - 43%. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are leading Trump by 42% - 41%, and 43% - 41%, respectively.
Of the 86% of voters who watched all or part of the debate, only 29% believe President Biden is mentally and physically fit to serve another four years, while 61% doubt that. Only 33% support keeping Biden as the Democratic nominee, while 52% oppose it.
The survey also assessed potential candidates for president and vice president. According to the poll results, the presidential-vice president Clinton-Harris pair is performing best, outperforming Trump, while the Biden-Harris pair is 4 points behind them.
The study also asked whether American voters would support Mr. Biden to prevent Mr. Trump from winning. Of those surveyed, 48% said they would not vote for the president for that reason, while 44% would support Mr. Biden. About 53% viewed Mr. Trump’s possible re-election as a serious threat to democracy.
