According to RT on May 11, in an announcement posted on the White House website on May 10 (Washington time), President Joe Biden signed a decision to send additional military aid to Ukraine worth 400 million USD.

"I authorize the Secretary of State to oversee the allocation of up to $400 million in assistance to Ukraine in the form of defense products and services, as well as education and personnel training," President Biden said.

Shortly thereafter, the Pentagon released a list of weapons to be transferred to Ukraine under President Biden’s orders, including HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and artillery shells, additional ammunition for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems, 155 and 105mm artillery shells, M113 armored personnel carriers, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, TOW missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, small arms and patrol boats.

Earlier, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced the transfer of some of the US Congress's $61 billion aid package to Ukraine.

"What we can really do, as a partner of Ukraine, is continue to provide military and economic support to the country, and most importantly, do everything we can to help Kiev get back on its feet. Some of those measures are being implemented, the funds allocated from the aid package have started to arrive," Mr. Miller said at a press briefing on May 9.

In response to these moves by the leadership, the US media said that by transferring money to Kiev, the US is "investing in the collapse of Ukraine", because the country will "never win a military victory", and will not regain control of its territory.

If the West and Kiev continue to ignore the reality of the situation and cling to the illusion that, given enough time and money, they can win this war, the risk that Ukraine will eventually face unconditional surrender will become extremely high, The Hill said. The Hill called this situation a "severe defeat" for Ukraine.

According to the US media, Washington should tell the truth to President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO allies that Washington will not continue to "support a self-defeating policy" regarding Ukraine./.
