Dien Chau District Fatherland Front Committee handed over 180 million VND to build Great Solidarity House

The family of Mrs. Ta Thi Dan in Dong Ky B village, Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district is a household with particularly difficult circumstances. She herself is often sick and ill. A few years ago, her husband suddenly passed away after a traffic accident. Her only son has kidney failure and often has to go to the hospital. Difficulties piled on difficulties.

The house the mother and son are living in has been damaged and dilapidated for a long time, and is in danger of collapsing. The wish for a solid house, where they don’t have to worry about having to take shelter during storms, has not been fulfilled for many years.

With the spirit of helping each other, the District and Commune Fatherland Front Committees have called on the community to join hands to help the family. Some have helped with labor and others have helped with money. After two months of construction, Ms. Ta Thi Dan's family now has a spacious house. The Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front Committee has handed over VND30 million to support the construction of a solidarity house to her family, taken from the district's "For the Poor" fund.

On the same day, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Chau district handed over support money to build “Great Unity” houses to 5 poor households in the district, each household received 30 million VND. Specifically: Mr. Cao Dinh Be’s household in Hamlet 2, Dien An commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Dien, Hamlet 1, Dien Hai commune; Ms. Le Thi Khoan in Dong My hamlet, Dien My commune; Ms. Phan Thi Ly in Hamlet 7, Dien Thai commune; Mr. Ho Van Duong in Hamlet 8, Dien Lien commune.

The Great Unity houses were built from the spirit of mutual love and sharing of the community. Hopefully in the future there will be more Great Unity houses so that disadvantaged families have the opportunity to “settle down and make a living”./.
