Working directly with the delegation, on the provincial side, there was comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, along with leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Ethnic Council of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Ethnic Council and provincial-level organizations and unions.
At the meeting, the report of the leader of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the exchange of comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, together with a number of provincial agencies and organizations clarified information about ethnic minority areas as well as the innovation of content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province in recent times.
Specifically, Nghe An currently has 47 ethnic minorities, accounting for 14.76% of the province's population, of which 5 main ethnic groups are concentrated: Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, Mong, O Du. Ethnic minorities reside in 252 communes/12 districts and towns; of which, 106 communes and 1,182 villages and hamlets are particularly disadvantaged.

Along with many important guidelines and policies of the Party and State prioritizing investment in socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, in recent times, implementing Conclusion No. 01 of the Presidium on "Innovation in the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in ethnic work", the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have coordinated with all levels, sectors and member organizations to actively propagate and mobilize ethnic minorities, contributing to changing their thinking and awareness, increasingly promoting the spirit of autonomy, self-reliance and self-reliance among the people, a positive change, improving the material and spiritual life of people in mountainous areas in general and ethnic minorities in particular.

The form of propaganda has been innovated through the establishment of pages, Zalo groups, Facebook, Fanpage for propaganda, in order to promptly inform and increase the number of people accessing information that needs to be propagated to ethnic minorities; through the team of village elders, prestigious people among ethnic minorities.
Every year, the Fatherland Front at all levels coordinates to organize training conferences on ethnic work and organizes the "Listening to the voices of prestigious people" seminar.
In particular, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has coordinated to propagate, deploy and effectively implement campaigns and emulation movements suitable for ethnic minority areas, thereby raising awareness and participation of the people. The most obvious is the propaganda and mobilization of people to donate land, support money and working days, contributing to the construction of 2 border communes and 36 communes with a large number of ethnic minorities to reach the new rural finish line.

The Fatherland Front at all levels also coordinated with member organizations to propagate and participate in the "hand-holding" method to build more than 900 livelihood models and sustainable poverty reduction from the Fund for the Poor and other support sources.
The Provincial Fatherland Front also coordinated well with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to effectively guide provincial agencies to support and help 115 especially disadvantaged communes in Western Nghe An, with a total support budget of more than 310 billion VND.

The Fatherland Front at all levels is interested in monitoring and criticizing policies and guidelines on ethnic groups and ethnic affairs. Of particular interest is the monitoring of the implementation of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, Phase I, from 2021-2025; monitoring the implementation of citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations by the Chairman of the District People's Committee; monitoring the work of compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement of the Hua Na Hydropower Project.
Focus on propaganda to overcome the mentality of waiting and relying on others.
Based on the province's discussion, at the meeting, members of the working delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front raised a number of issues of concern related to the mechanism to encourage and promote the role and active and effective activities of prestigious people; propaganda work to overcome backward customs, especially early marriage, incestuous marriage, exorcism, etc.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Truong Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front acknowledged and highly appreciated the province's leadership and direction in propaganda and mobilization work as well as the implementation of programs, projects for mountainous areas in general and ethnic minorities in particular, contributing to raising awareness, changing the thinking and habits of the people, creating changes in the appearance of mountainous areas, ethnic minority areas and the material and spiritual life of the people.
The Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also acknowledged many innovations and creativity of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province in implementing Conclusion No. 01 of the Presidium on "Innovation of content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in ethnic affairs" with many good, specific and practical ways; thereby, contributing to consolidating and enhancing the position of the Fatherland Front in the political system, contributing to promoting the implementation of local political tasks.
Comrade Truong Thi Ngoc Anh also hopes that the Fatherland Front at all levels of Nghe An province will continue to supplement and innovate the content and methods of operation in accordance with the requirements of the current situation and tasks, contributing to building the great national unity bloc, promoting stronger socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas.
