The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Yen Bai Province Police has just caught a subject red-handed for illegally storing and transporting 20 heroin cakes.
At about 4:10 p.m. on October 19, 2018, while on duty in Group 8, Hop Minh Ward, Yen Bai City, the Working Group of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Yen Bai Provincial Police discovered at a restaurant in the area a young Mong man showing signs of illegally storing and transporting drugs, so they proceeded to inspect.

Through that, it was discovered that where the subject was sitting, there were two backpacks containing 20 heroin cakes, with a total weight of 6,947.48 grams.
Through investigation, another subject admitted to being Hang A Ky, 31 years old, residing in Ban 12, Muong Ly commune, Muong Lat district, Thanh Hoa province. Ky was hired to transport the above drugs from Thanh Hoa to Yen Bai province for consumption.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Bai Province Police has conducted an appraisal of the exhibits and temporarily detained the subject Hang A Ky to continue investigating and handling according to the provisions of law.
