According to information at 4:50 p.m., the container truck fire in front of Than Vu tunnel has been extinguished, but the road surface at the location of the fire is too hot so the authorities still close the road here. Vehicles traveling in the South - North direction must go down to N5 road to continue their journey.
Previously, at around 1:00 p.m. on December 22, a container truck (driver's identity and license plate unknown) was traveling on the Bai Vot - Dien Chau highway when it suddenly caught fire at Km442+300. The fire broke out near Than Vu tunnel, in Nghi Dong commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An.
The driver stopped the car to put out the fire, but the flames quickly engulfed the front of the car.

Upon receiving the news, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 of the Traffic Police Department was present at the scene to regulate traffic.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Nghe An Province dispatched vehicles and forces to put out the fire in time, preventing the fire from spreading to the container, but the front of the vehicle was completely burned down.
