Transporting 42 kg of firecrackers from Laos to Vietnam for consumption
(Baonghean.vn) - The subject used a car with a Lao license plate to transport 42kg of firecrackers from the other side of the border to Nam Can border gate (Ky Son) and was arrested by the authorities.

Accordingly, at 3:00 p.m. on January 21, 2017, while checking and controlling at Nam Can International Border Gate, Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with Nam Can Border Gate Customs Branch to discover and arrest Cao Duc Quan (born in 1978, permanent resident of Hamlet 1, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau District) who was transporting a large quantity of firecrackers from across the border to Vietnam.
Evidence collected at the scene was 42 kg of various types of fireworks including: 1,990 small firecrackers, 500 large firecrackers, 10 firecracker cakes, 9 boxes of fireworks, 29 firecrackers and 1 Hyundai car with Lao license plate.

Through initial questioning, the subject confessed to buying the above quantity of fireworks for Tet use.
Currently, Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station has completed the file, initiated a criminal case and handed it over to the authorities for handling.
