Persuading the subject to surrender after many years of being wanted
(Baonghean.vn) - Thanh Chuong District Police have successfully persuaded Tran Van Linh (born in 1987), residing in Thanh Tien Commune, Thanh Chuong, Nghe An, who was wanted for violating regulations on driving vehicles on roads, to surrender.
According to the records, at around 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2017, Tran Van Linh was driving a motorbike with license plate 37E1 - 050.59 towards Thanh Chuong town. At Km 15 + 500 of Provincial Road 533 in Hamlet 11, Thanh Tien Commune, Thanh Chuong District, due to not paying attention, the motorbike driven by Tran Van Linh crashed into Mr. Ho Van N. (born in 1960), residing in Thanh Tien Commune, Thanh Chuong District, who was walking in the same direction. Although he was taken to the emergency room, Mr. N. died later.
On February 22, 2017, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Chuong District Police issued a Decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Tran Van Linh for the crime of "Violating regulations on controlling road vehicles" as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 202, Penal Code 1999 and issued an Order prohibiting Linh from leaving his place of residence.
However, Tran Van Linh fled the locality, so the Thanh Chuong District Police Department issued a decision.wantedNo. 02 dated May 21, 2017.

After Tran Van Linh escaped, Thanh Chuong District Police deployed synchronous professional measures, organized forces to search for traces and through sources, identified information about the subject hiding abroad. From there, Thanh Chuong District Police met with relatives and persuaded Tran Van Linh to return to the country to surrender.
At the same time, Thanh Chuong District Police sent a letter to Tran Van Linh, in which they analyzed and persistently encouraged the subject to surrender soon. "Slow and steady wins the race", after being persistently persuaded by Thanh Chuong District Police and his family, Tran Van Linh gradually realized the problem, understood the violations he had committed and the best way for himself was to return home to surrender, enjoying the leniency of the law. On May 11, Tran Van Linh went to Thanh Chuong District Police to surrender.
Currently, Thanh Chuong District Police are completing the case file to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
