Nghe An athlete wins Gold Medal at 2025 Asian Pencak Silat Championship
Female martial artist Cao Thuy Tien continued to affirm her talent when she excellently brought home a Gold Medal in the women's 70 kg weight class at the 2025 Asian Pencak Silat Championship, taking place in Ha Tinh.
The 2025 Asian Pencak Silat Championship took place from July 24-30 in Ha Tinh province, gathering the region's top martial artists. At this arena, Cao Thuy Tien - an athlete from Nghe An Sports Training and Competition Center - competed impressively in the women's 70 kg weight class.
On the way to the championship, Thuy Tien successively overcame two strong opponents from Malaysia and Kazakhstan, countries with leading traditions in pencak silat on the continent. This victory not only brought glory to the young female boxer but also continued to affirm the position of Nghe An pencak silat on the regional sports map.

Cao Thuy Tien was born in 2025 in Nghi Xuan commune, Ha Tinh province, and became an athlete of Nghe An Sports Training and Competition Center in 2019, at the age of 14. Her achievement at this Asian tournament is a new milestone in this female boxer's impressive career.
Previously, she won the Bronze Medal at the 2024 World Championship and has enjoyed continued success domestically with 3 Gold Medals at the National Youth Championship (2023-2025), 2 Gold Medals at the National Championship (2024, 2025) and 2 Gold Medals at the National Club Championship (2024, 2025).
