Applying President Ho Chi Minh's theoretical thinking to teaching political theory

Attending the workshop were comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Principal of the Provincial Political School; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Party committees; Vinh University.

In her opening speech at the workshop, comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa affirmed that in the treasure trove of Vietnamese national cultural heritage and the Party's revolutionary theoretical foundation, Ho Chi Minh's thought holds a particularly important position.

For the work of researching and teaching political theory to cadres and party members, exploiting, thoroughly understanding and applying the valuable values ​​in the theoretical thinking of President Ho Chi Minh is a necessary task, with profound practical significance to improve the quality of studying, researching and applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in the new situation as in the spirit of Directive No. 23-CT/TW of the Secretariat. At the same time, through that, it contributes positively and effectively to improving the quality of training and fostering the Party's cadres at all levels to meet the requirements of the task.

This is also a very necessary activity with profound practical significance to continue implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in 2018 of the Provincial Political School.

“The scientific conference is organized to gather more in-depth research on the values ​​in Ho Chi Minh's ideology. Through the conference, we will collect opinions from scientists and lecturers, create a useful scientific forum, and serve well the research and teaching work as well as apply it to the practical work of each cadre and lecturer to apply his theoretical thinking to the research and teaching of political theory, so that the teaching and education of political theory will become more and more effective and successful”, affirmed the Principal of the Provincial Political School, Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa.

The workshop received 27 articles from authors, and comments were directly exchanged at the workshop by many scientists, guests from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Vinh University, and officers and lecturers from Nghe An Provincial Political School.

In which, the discussions focused on the following contents: Affirming the scientific and revolutionary value of President Ho Chi Minh's theoretical thinking in the Party's revolutionary theoretical heritage; President Ho Chi Minh's theoretical thinking on the role and stature of political theory and the work of educating political theory for cadres and party members; President Ho Chi Minh's theoretical thinking on the content, motto, and goals of research, teaching, learning and applying political theory in revolutionary practice.

In addition, the participants shared the difficulties, challenges and issues facing the current research and teaching of political theory. From there, the delegates proposed solutions to improve the quality of research and teaching of political theory in the current period according to the theoretical thinking of President Ho Chi Minh.
