Australian cyclist hospitalized after horrific accident
While training for the 2016 Rio Olympics on August 11, Australian track cyclist Melissa Hoskins suffered a serious accident that forced her to be rushed to the hospital.
According to The Sun, during a practice session at the Olympic Velodrome on Monday, five Australian track cyclists, Ashlee Ankudinoff, Georgia Baker, Amy Cure, Annette Edmondson and Melissa Hoskins, suffered a serious accident.

After this incident, while 4 colleagues only needed ice and simple first aid to be able to walk normally, Melissa Hoskins was in extreme pain. This forced the medical staff as well as the Australian cycling team's coaching staff to urgently take the 25-year-old racer to the hospital to check her health condition.
Hoskins has now been discharged from the hospital after doctors found no serious injuries, but she has yet to regain her full fitness. Therefore, it is likely that the Australian track cycling team will not have the services of the 1991-born racer.
If this happens, it will be a big loss for the Australian team. Because, in recent times, Melissa Hoskins has been one of the best cyclists in the Australian track cycling community. It was also this athlete's high performance that helped them set a world record at the world track cycling championships held in Paris (France) last year with a time of 4 minutes, 13 seconds 68.
