Returning home for a death anniversary, 5 people in a family died in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - A car carrying 5 people from Tuyen Quang to Dien Chau district for a relative's death anniversary had an accident. The mother and 8-year-old child died, 3 others were injured.

On the afternoon of June 3, Mr. Nguyen The Thanh - Deputy Police Chief of Nghia Binh Commune, Nghia Dan District confirmed that a serious traffic accident had just occurred in the area, killing 2 people and injuring 3 others.

The deceased victims were Dang Thi Linh (8 years old) and her mother, Ngo Thi Anh (43 years old). Three others were injured: Anh's husband and second child; and Ngo Sy Hung (47 years old, Anh's brother). The victims all lived in Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province.

Earlier, at around 3:30 a.m. the same day, a 5-seat silver car with license plate 19A-062.25 was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh trail. When the car reached Nghia Binh commune, it suddenly crashed into a milestone on the right side of the road.

The strong impact caused the car to flip several times before coming to a stop on the side of the road. There were 5 people in the car at the time, all from the same family.

The accident caused Linh to die on the spot. Ms. Ngo Thi Anh died in the hospital due to severe injuries. As for Mr. Ngo Sy Hung, according to Dr. Nguyen Viet Luong (Nghe An Northwestern General Hospital), his prognosis is critical and unlikely to survive.

The other two people, Anh's husband and the second child, were only slightly injured. According to the family's wishes, Tay Bac General Hospital transferred the victim Hung to Nghe An General Hospital for further emergency treatment.

At the scene, the car was lying on its belly on the side of the road, completely crushed. Many pieces of broken glass were scattered everywhere. By 9:00 a.m. the same day, the accident scene was cleared, the damaged car was towed to the police headquarters to serve the investigation of the cause.

It is known that the victims were on their way from Tuyen Quang to their hometown in Dien Chau district (Nghe An) to attend a relative's death anniversary.
