Returning home to buy cheap drugs, a group of brave men were sentenced to more than 20 years in prison
(Baonghean.vn) - All are drug addicts currently working in Binh Duong province. Three young men invited each other to Ky Son district (Nghe An) to buy drugs at a cheaper price, but were arrested and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
On the morning of August 18, the People's Court of Ky Son district tried three defendants Lu Van Xon, Ngan Van Dung and Lo Van Thin.for the crime of "Illegal possession of drugs".
According to the indictment, at about 9:00 p.m. on May 6, 2021, Lu Van Xon (born in 1985), residing in Na Luong 1 village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, together with Ngan Van Dung (born in 1994), residing in Nhon Mai commune, Tuong Duong district (Nghe An) and Lo Van Thin (born in 1990), residing in Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, took a bus from Binh Duong province to Ky Son district, Nghe An province to visit family and buy drugs for use.

At around 11:00 a.m. on May 8, 2021, Xon, Dung, and Thin returned to Muong Xen town, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. Xon used his phone to call a man named Tuan, residing in Noong De village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, to contact him to buy drugs.
After that, the subjects rented a car to go to the area near Noong De village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, where they met Tuan and an unknown man. After agreeing on the price, Xon bought 1 bag of synthetic drugs and 1 block of heroin for 8,000,000 VND; Dung bought 1 bag of synthetic drugs and 1 block of heroin for 3,000,000 VND; Thin bought 1 block of heroin and 2 pills of synthetic drugs for 1,800,000 VND. After buying the drugs, the subjects took a taxi back to Muong Xen town, but were discovered by Ky Son district police.caught red-handed.
The amount of drugs seized from Lu Van Xon was determined to be 37.5 grams, from Ngan Van Dung 18.1 grams and from Lo Van Thin 3.3 grams.
At the trial, the defendants all admitted their crimes and asked the panel of judges to reduce their sentences so that they could soon reintegrate into the community and start a new life. Based on the nature of the case and the amount of drugs the defendants possessed, the panel of judges sentenced Lu Van Xon to 11 years in prison, Ngan Van Dung to 07 years in prison, and Lo Van Thin to 03 years in prison, all for the crime of “Illegal possession of drugs”.
