Vietnam won 2 Gold Medals at the 2016 International Chemistry Olympiad
The Vietnamese student delegation participating in the 2016 International Chemistry Olympiad won 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal.
The Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assessment (Ministry of Education and Training) has just received official information from Georgia about the results of the 2016 International Chemistry Olympiad of the Vietnamese national team. The results show that 3/4 of the contestants won medals, including: 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal.
Specifically as follows: Dinh Quang Hieu, 11th grade student, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University won the Gold Medal. Nguyen Khanh Duy, 12th grade student, Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa province won the Gold Medal; Nguyen Thanh Trung, 12th grade student, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province won the Silver Medal.

The 48th International Chemistry Olympiad 2016 was held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, with 75 countries and territories participating with a total of 280 contestants.
In the competition, China won 4 Gold Medals; Russia, Romania, South Korea, and Taiwan each won 3 Gold Medals. Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, India, and Iran each won 2 Gold Medals.
