Vietnam urgently verifies information about suspect Doan Thi Huong

“Immediately after receiving information related to Malaysia arresting a suspect holding a Vietnamese passport under the name Doan Thi Huong, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia to urgently work with local authorities to clarify related information.

At the same time, domestic authorities are also actively coordinating closely to verify the information. However, Malaysia said that because this is a serious case, consular contact with the arrested suspects will not be allowed within 7 days. Therefore, the verification process has not progressed.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia is continuing to closely monitor the incident.”./.
