Vietnam will promote APEC 2017 on CNN

This is a new feature in cultural propaganda work revealed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chairman of the APEC 2017 National Committee Bui Thanh Son at the 6th plenary meeting of the APEC 2017 National Committee held on the morning of December 21.

Mr. Bui Thanh Son said that the Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee is actively contacting and working with partners and major media agencies in the world, including CNN, to introduce the image of Vietnam as well as the APEC Vietnam Year 2017.

Linking with international media channels is considered one of the proactive and effective propaganda directions, not only attracting the attention of domestic and foreign public opinion to the APEC Forum 2017 but also being an opportunity to promote the host country Vietnam.

In parallel with the process of working with media channels, the APEC 2017 National Committee also promoted propaganda on the sidelines of the Forum, including publishing the book "APEC Vietnam 2017: 50 things to know" and proposing the release of an English version aimed at foreign readers.

Also at the 6th plenary session of the APEC National Committee, Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son briefly summarized and evaluated the Committee's preparations in all 5 areas: content, reception, propaganda and culture, security and health, and materials and logistics.

Thereby, the Committee made proposals and comments on issues related to the progress of completing facilities; the participation of businesses within the framework of the forum; the training and coaching of staff participating in supporting the Forum in both organizational skills and language skills, including English.
