Vietnam attends the 15th Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore

The 15th Shangri-La Dialogue has officially opened. As the region's leading security forum, the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore this year focused on discussing challenges related to the regional security situation, controlling military competition in Asia, establishing defense policies in different periods as well as challenges in resolving conflicts and pursuing common security goals.

In addition, delegates will also discuss current hot issues, including controlling tensions in the East Sea, strengthening cooperation against radical Islamic terrorism in Asia, identifying new cyber security threats, the situation on the Korean peninsula, military technology issues, and security challenges related to migration.

This year's dialogue has the largest number of delegates ever, nearly 600 people, including defense officials from more than 30 countries in and outside the region and many international scholars.

The Vietnamese delegation led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defense, attended the Shangri-La Dialogue./.
