Vinamilk donates more than 2 million nutritional products to support the fight against Covid-19

Previously,Vinamilkhas also begun the journey of donating 1.7 million milk products to disadvantaged children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in 26 provinces and cities through the Vietnam Grow Up Milk Fund.

These support programs are part of a fund of more than 2 million products, equivalent to about 15 billion VND, that Vinamilk has set aside to support nutrition for those affected by the pandemic, especially children in 2021.

In just over 2 weeks, the Covid-19 epidemic has had many complicated developments in many localities. The spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy" has once again been promoted by the Government and called for the cooperation of all people. Along with the Covid-19 prevention work, local authorities have made efforts to care for people in quarantine areas and encourage doctors, medical staff, and frontline forces who are struggling to fight the epidemic.

Sharing the difficulties and accompanying localities during this outbreak, Vinamilk has promptly donated nearly 200,000 nutritional products to medical staff, frontline forces, people and children at quarantine points in Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Ha Nam. The products selected by Vinamilk for donation include Vinamilk 100% sterilized fresh milk, Probi live yogurt drink, Vfresh orange juice with vitamin C... both providing nutrition and helping to strengthen resistance during this necessary period.

Receiving the gift from Vinamilk, the representative of the Hanoi Department of Health expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors and all employees of the company for promptly supporting many necessary nutritional products during this period as well as always accompanying and supporting the frontline forces in the fight against Covid-19.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the frontline forces and medical staff have not rested for a single day, devoting all their heart and strength to caring for and protecting the safety and health of the people. Therefore, more than ever, the "white-shirt heroes" are in dire need of the community's support and encouragement to stay healthy and steadfast in repelling the pandemic. On the same day, more than 100,000 Vinamilk products began to be delivered to many places in need of support in Hanoi. Among them are many hospitals that are receiving, treating, and caring for Covid-19 patients.

Receiving Vinamilk products for medical staff, Master Pham Hai Ha - Head of Social Work Department, Ha Dong General Hospital shared: “We are very happy to receive nutritional products from Vinamilk. The products will be delivered directly to medical staff, frontline workers in the fight against the epidemic at the hospital. The fight against the epidemic will be very long, so we hope to continue to receive companionship and support in the work of medical examination and treatment, serving the people”.

On the same day, Vinamilk buses also set off to bring nutritional products to hospitals and quarantine areas in two other localities, Ha Nam and Bac Ninh.

“In the coming time, Vinamilk will continue to promote the implementation of the Vietnam Grow Up Milk Fund program according to the 2021 plan with 1.7 million glasses of milk donated to 19,000 disadvantaged children in difficult circumstances. These support activities are part of the fund of 2 million products that Vinamilk has set aside to support the community, especially children in difficult circumstances and affected by Covid-19 this year."

In early 2021, during the outbreak before Tet holiday involving many schools, Vinamilk also promptly supported 45,000 milk boxes for more than 800 children who had to celebrate Tet in centralized quarantine areas in schools and hospitals in Hanoi, Hai Duong, and Hai Phong.

Not only actively supporting the community in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic in the country, Vinamilk's overseas member units have also donated products to support people in the host countries such as: Driftwood Factory in the US donated milk to the people of Los Angeles in 2020 or recently, Vinamilk's Angkormilk Factory in Cambodia also donated 1,000 cartons of milk to people in the "red zones" due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
