Round 15 V.League: Visiting Quang Nam, SLNA 'has more harm than good'
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, Quang Nam has always been a tough opponent for the Nghe An team. And the away trip of coach Duc Thang and his team in this round is no exception.
After being held to a draw by Than Quang Ninh at Vinh Stadium in the previous round, SLNA immediately moved to Quang Nam to rest and prepare for the match at Tam Ky Stadium. In the match a few days ago, although the Nghe An team was missing many important players, their smooth coordination helped SLNA completely dominate the match.
Visiting Quang Nam, SLNA will welcome back a series of important players such as Van Khanh, Sy Nam and Van Vinh. In particular, Van Vinh's composure and experience are the factors that help the home team not get caught up in the opponent's playing style.
In terms of strength, SLNA is not inferior to the students of coach Hoang Van Phuc. However, playing with only 1 foreign player Olaha is a disadvantage for the away team. Quang Nam is the championship candidate for this year's tournament with a series of 1 draw, winning 4 consecutive victories recently of the home team. In which, there are 3 victories in the National Cup and defeating S. Khanh Hoa 3 quick goals right on Nha Trang field in round 14.

Quang Nam's squad has two players that SLNA must be very wary of, namely the explosive Dinh Thanh Trung and the spearhead Claudecir. It was this foreign player who "sowed sorrow" for the Nghe An team in the 0-2 loss at Tam Ky Stadium. National team captain Thanh Trung with his wide range of activities, ability to create breakthroughs and assist the two foreign players above will cause SLNA's defense many difficulties.
Huy Hung's good blocking, sweeping and ball recovery ability and the style of play revolving around the stars have helped coach Hoang Van Phuc and his team rise up the rankings. Quang Nam's attacking formula is nothing more than passing the ball to Thanh Trung and the rest are high-precision crosses to the strikers.
However, it is very difficult to neutralize this style of play. Strikers Claudecir and Dai Duong both have 5 goals, which makes coach Duc Thang have to be cautious.
In V.League 2016 at Tam Ky Stadium, many important players were also absent but SLNA actually played well against this opponent. It was the habit of being careless in the last 10 minutes of the match that caused SLNA to receive 2 cruel goals. In the 2-4 loss in the first leg at Vinh Stadium, the defense also lost concentration.
Goalkeeper Nguyen Manh will have to adjust his defensive command if he doesn't want to continue to pick the ball out of the net after taking the lead. Quang Nam not only knows how to attack in a variety of ways, but in set pieces, the home team is many times better than SLNA.
This season, Dinh Thanh Trung's left foot has helped him score 4 goals and it is clear that SLNA's coaching staff needs to ask players to limit fouls in front of the penalty area.

SLNA can expect a breakthrough from the midfielder who is playing very well - Ho Khac Ngoc - Photo: Trung Kien |
Welcoming SLNA to Tam Ky Stadium with the mentality of a team at the top of the rankings, Quang Nam did not lack any player. Meanwhile, SLNA constantly had to make changes in defense and did not have the necessary stability, which is a worrying thing at the moment.
The ability to keep the rhythm of Van Vinh and the triangle of Phi Son - Khac Ngoc - Olaha are completely capable of dominating the midfield with any opponent. However, the lack of a true striker and the concern of the defense still lurking at the decisive moment predict a difficult match for SLNA at Tam Ky Stadium.
EXPECTED LINEUP Quang Nam FC: Van Cuong, Dinh Thang, Thiago, Tan Sinh, Van Hoc, Thanh Hung, Huy Hung, Thanh Trung, Ngoc Nguyen, Dai Duong, Claudecir. SLNA: Nguyen Manh, Xuan Manh, Ngoc Hai, Minh Duc, Ngoc Duc, Phi Son, Van Vinh, Khac Ngoc, The Cuong, Olaha Michael, Phuc Tinh. |
