Russian drones
Currently, the Russian army is mainly equipped with reconnaissance drones (Orlan-10, Leer and others). There are also Orion attack UAVs from the Kronstadt company (the first contract for serial production was signed in 2020) and Korsar from the Luch design bureau (the contract has not yet been signed). The army uses thesedronesmall kamikaze Cube and Lancet.
As for heavy attack drones, although work in this direction has been going on for a long time, mass production models are not yet ready. The most famous domestic projects of this class are "Okhonik", "Grom" and "Altius".
During the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in September-November this year, various types of UAVs were actively used, including target designation reconnaissance vehicles, attack vehicles, and suicide drones. Experts and media describe the specifics of the fighting in Karabakh with the term "drone warfare".
