Mrs. Lo Thi Lam in Muong Noc commune (Que Phong) isrice harveston the field, excitedly said: Her family planted 1.5 hectares of spring rice with Japonica and glutinous rice varieties. According to Mrs. Lam's estimate, her family's rice yield will reach 3.3 quintals/sao, there has never been a year with such a good harvest as this spring crop.
"In previous years, there were harvesters to serve the people, but this year there are no harvesters, so the family mobilized human resources to harvest manually. The hot weather made it difficult," Ms. Lam shared.

Secretary of the Muong Noc Commune Party Committee, Ms. Lo Thi Hong, said: This spring crop, the whole commune planted 136 hectares of rice. Evaluation shows that all rice varieties have high yields, especially some hybrid rice varieties can achieve yields of over 7 tons/hectare, the highest ever.
"By May 22, people will have harvested about 90% of the area, so in this election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels, voters in the commune are excited and eager to go to vote, which will not affect the rice harvest," said Ms. Lo Thi Hong.

According to data from the Department of Agriculture and Rural DevelopmentQue Phong districtThis spring crop, the locality planted 2,300 hectares of rice, using the main rice varieties: Japonica, Song Lam 9, NA6, Nhi Uu 986, VNR 20... Through surveys and evaluations, it was shown that all rice varieties have high yields, with some places reaching up to 7.2 tons/ha. The average yield of the whole district is 55 tons/ha.
Mr. Phan Trong Dung - Head of the Department of Agriculture of Que Phong district said that this is the spring crop with the highest yield ever. By May 22, farmers in nearly 1,000 hectares in the outlying communes had basically finished harvesting rice.
Not only Que Phong, but other localities such as Quy Chau, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong... all have a good spring crop.
In Con Cuong district, these days of May, farmers are also rushing to the fields to harvest rice in the joy of a good harvest.
According to Mr. Lo Van Ly - Head of the District's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the entire district planted 2,300 hectares of spring rice, using the following rice varieties: Thien Uu 8, DH12... Actual assessment shows that this spring crop achieved an average yield of over 65 quintals/hectare, the highest in many years. Some fields achieved the highest yield, such as in Mon Son, Luc Da, Chi Khe.
