On the morning of November 29, the leader of Tuong Duong District Police said that the Investigation Police Agency had just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Van Tin (born in 1982, residing in Yen Thinh Commune, Huu Lung District, Lang Son) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

Tin was arrested by police on the evening of November 25, in Na Khom village, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong, while he was carrying 170.85 grams of heroin and 200 pink pills on his person.
Since early November 2018, Tin began appearing in Tuong Duong district, often socializing and meeting with bad elements and drug criminals. Tin's whereabouts were targeted by the Tuong Duong district police force.
Police determined that Tin went from Lang Son to Tuong Duong to buy drugs in large quantities, then brought them back to divide into small quantities to sell for profit.
Tuong Duong District Police established Project 219M to arrest Tin and his accomplices. However, because every time he came to Tuong Duong, Tin asked to stay in a resident's house and only went out in the late afternoon to find sources of "goods", the arrest was not simple.

On November 24, Tin returned to Tuong Duong and, as usual, took a motorbike taxi to Na Khom village, Yen Na commune, then went to a local's house to ask for a place to stay. The police planned to capture him.
The next day, Tin went straight up the slope of Kem to get the "goods", then took a motorbike taxi to Hoa Binh town and was surrounded and arrested by the police.
The case is being further investigated by Tuong Duong District Police.
