Hung Tien Commune (Nam Dan) receives certificate of recognition as a commune meeting New Rural standards

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 31, Hung Tien commune (Nam Dan) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition as a commune meeting New Rural standards.

Identifying economic development as the focus to create the premise to mobilize internal resources in building new rural areas, in recent times Hung Tien commune has promoted the development of trade services, transformed the crop structure, invested in developing farm economy, and increased income value. Thanks to that, the life of local people has been increasingly improved, the average income per capita in 2016 reached 34 million VND/year, the poverty rate is only 3%.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Ky - Chairman of Hung Tien Commune People's Committee said that after more than 5 years, Hung Tien has mobilized over 240 billion VND to build new rural areas (Photo: Kim Dung).

Along with taking advantage of programs, projects, and support from all levels, sectors, and businesses, after more than 5 years, Hung Tien has mobilized over 240 billion VND (of which people contributed over 100 billion VND) to build the new rural area.

The new rural areas have brought joy to the people as their quality of life has been improved, both materially and spiritually. The rural and intra-field traffic systems have also been concreted, hardened, expanded, upgraded... creating convenience in daily life and production.

The medical infrastructure has been invested quite synchronously, the commune health station is spacious with medical equipment ensuring the initial medical examination and treatment for the people. Hung Tien commune has been recognized by the workers as meeting the national standards in health.

The school buildings are built spaciously and solidly, the campus is cleaned and beautified. Thanks to that, the quality of education is improved every year. In addition, the cultural, artistic and sports movements are strongly developed, the spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved. The whole commune has 15/19 hamlets recognized as cultural villages, reaching a rate of over 78.9%.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee and people of Hung Tien, and at the same time outlined the orientation for the locality to continue to improve the criteria in the coming time. Accordingly, the commune needs to promote the industrialization and modernization of rural agriculture towards comprehensive development.
