Tan Long Commune (Tan Ky) reached the new rural finish line 2 years early

(Baonghean.vn)- On November 21, Tan Long commune, Tan Ky district held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the commune's establishment and receive the title of "Commune meeting new rural standards".

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vi Luu Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief of the Office of the National Target Program on New Rural Development of the province; representatives of provincial departments and branches, leaders of Tan Ky district, Tan Long commune and many local people.

Throughout 20 years of construction, development and growth, the cadres and people of Tan Long commune have united, joined forces and unanimously built an increasingly prosperous commune.

Comrade Vi Luu Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, awarded the provincial certificate of recognition to the leaders of Tan Long commune.

In the past 5 years, Tan Long commune has implemented many synchronous solutions to soon complete 19 criteria and 39 targets in 5 groups of contents on new rural construction. Up to now, Tan Long commune has 18.8 km of concreted rural roads and over 20 km of upgraded intra-field canals to ensure irrigation water for production.

Average income reached over 28 million VND/person/year. The poverty rate is now only 1.67%. The total investment cost for the construction of new rural areas in Tan Long commune is 49 billion 938 million VND, of which the state budget is over 15 billion 421 million VND, the commune budget is 3 billion 650 million VND and the people contribute 24 billion 845 million VND, mobilizing other project capital sources is 6 billion VND.

Schools and basic health stations meet national standards. The political system is strong and comprehensive. Political security and social order and safety are maintained. Tan Long has completed the construction of the new rural area 2 years ahead of schedule.

At the ceremony, Comrade Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province awarded the Certificate of Recognition of the commune meeting the province's new rural standards, awarded 550 million VND to Tan Long commune and awarded Certificates of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 4 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement "Nghe An joins hands to build new rural areas".

On this occasion, Tan Ky district leaders presented awards to officials and people of the commune.
