Tien Ky Commune (Tan Ky) chooses a breakthrough for sustainable economic development

The political report of the Party Committee of the commune, term XXI, 2015 - 2020, shows that in the past 5 years, the locality has implemented many important infrastructure investment projects for roads, bridges, and schools, with a total investment of nearly 100 billion VND. The material and spiritual life of Tien Ky people has been improved, the brocade weaving profession has been restored and developed, associated with the construction of a community tourism village.

The economic development index has made a breakthrough, the total production value of Tien Ky in 2020 is estimated at more than 157 billion VND, an increase of 60% compared to 2015. The average growth rate of production value in the period 2016 - 2020 reached 9.8%.

Average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 25.7 million VND/person/year, compared to 2015 at 17.4 million VND/person/year, an increase of 8.2 million VND. The poverty rate decreased by 5.2% annually, and by 2020 it decreased to 7.96%.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Commune Party Committee identified a number of breakthroughs for Tien Ky to develop its economy sustainably. These are:Renovating fields, planning concentrated production models; Improving product quality, economic growth, and competitiveness to meet requirements in the new situation;Restructuring the agricultural sector in conjunction with new rural construction, continuing to shift the production structure and rural agriculture towards applying technology to rapidly increase value per unit area. Encouraging the application of scientific and technological advances in agricultural production... At the same time, attracting and inviting businesses to invest in the locality to build a number of traffic routes and irrigation works.

In the spirit of solidarity and democracy, the congress elected 12 comrades to the 22nd Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and elected 6 comrades to attend the higher-level Party congress.

Some key targets by 2025: Total production value is estimated to reach more than 246 billion VND by 2025; average production value growth rate in 5 years is from 9 to 10%; average income per capita is estimated to reach from 36 to 37 million VND/person/year. Reduce the annual poverty rate by 1-1.5%. Strive to build a Party organization to excellently complete its annual tasks...
