With the motto of the state and the people working together, on December 2, the people of Hamlet 8, Nghi Dien Commune, Nghi Loc District, simultaneously launched a campaign to build rural roads. This time, the hamlet poured concrete with a length of 400 m, with a total cost of over 180 million VND.

To ensure the road is 4 meters wide, each household voluntarily contributed 10 million VND. In particular, Mr. Nguyen Canh Thien, a son far from home, donated 20 million VND. To ensure the quality of the project and reduce costs, hundreds of households in Hamlet 8 voluntarily contributed working days.

Up to now, the whole Nghi Dien commune has built 9/23.7 km of rural roads meeting NTM standards (including road surface and drainage system on both sides), worth over 7 billion VND. Of which, the Provincial People's Committee supported 500 tons of cement, the rest was donated by the people in the commune.

It is known that with the leadership and direction from the Party Committee, the government, and the participation of the people, in 2017, Nghi Dien commune completed 5 criteria for building a new rural area (exceeding 2 criteria compared to the plan).

So far, Nghi Dien commune has completed 16/19 criteria. There are 3 criteria that have not been met, including: Cultural facilities; culture and transportation. The locality strives to complete 19/19 criteria by 2019./.
