Clearly define the position and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

On the morning of August 16, the Provincial Fatherland Front held a conference to collect opinions on innovating the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in the spirit of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020 and the results of 2 and a half years of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of the Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; and socio-political organizations.

Innovation in the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political organizations is a necessary and important requirement for the successful implementation of the Resolutions. The conference focused on evaluating the results achieved, analyzing the limitations and causes, and proposing solutions to innovate the content and methods of operation, building and improving the quality of the staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political organizations so that the mass mobilization work is timely, in specific conditions and circumstances, meeting the development and integration trends.

Attending and directing, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son assessed the importance of the conference, through which the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations saw what had been done and what had not been done, pointed out the causes and determined the focus in the coming time in the process of implementing the Resolutions.

“To innovate the content and methods of operation, it is necessary to closely follow the specific tasks set out by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the National Party Congress for the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. We must highlight what has been done in all areas of education, movements, foreign affairs, organization building, and Party building. This is extremely important,” the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son said that the information from the conference will be the premise for the Provincial Party Committee to have more objective and quality assessments of the implementation results of Resolution 26 of the Politburo and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, and the Resolution of the National Party Congress.

Pointing out the goals set forth by Resolution 26 of the Politburo for the province, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, in addition to assessing the tasks of their organizations, need to clearly define their positions and tasks in connection with the implementation of the Resolutions of the whole province; thereby, clearly defining the direction, promoting the full role in the organization, creatively applying effective methods of operation, suitable to the requirements in the new situation.

At the conference, the contributions and discussions focused on reflecting the role and responsibility of the Party and the government towards the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; improving the quality of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in all areas of social life, caring for and protecting the legitimate interests of union members, association members and people; diversifying forms of gathering people and focusing on grassroots activities; perfecting the organizational apparatus, innovating policies and regimes for cadres of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; and strengthening the work of mass mobilization of the government.
