Building a beautiful cable-stayed bridge across Lam River connecting Nghe An - Ha Tinh

(Baonghean.vn) - The Ministry of Transport has just agreed on the policy of building Cua Hoi bridge project.Crossing Lam River, connecting Cua Lo town (Nghe An) and Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh) by cable-stayed bridge.

This is the conclusion of a recent meeting between Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho and leaders of the People's Committees of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces on the Cua Hoi Bridge Construction Project held in Hanoi.

Attending the working session on behalf of Nghe An province were comrades: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Hong Ky - Director of the Department of Transport.

The Cua Hoi Bridge construction project is a connecting project, creating conditions for socio-economic development, especially marine economy and tourism, ensuring national defense and security of the provinces in the Central region in general and Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces in particular; contributing to the completion of the coastal road through Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, improving the traffic system between the two banks of the Lam River, gradually completing the traffic infrastructure system in the North Central region.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho emphasized that Cua Hoi Bridge is a project of great significance to the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh. The Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Transport as the competent State agency to select the Investor in accordance with legal regulations; to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces to implement the Project and manage the investment and construction process.

The Deputy Minister agreed on the financial plan, agreed to keep the construction scale of Cua Hoi bridge as a cable-stayed bridge, however, the total investment must be reviewed, in the spirit of saving, reducing the total investment, reducing the toll and not and soon submitting to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Leaders of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces pledged to create all favorable conditions, especially in site clearance, and hoped that the Ministry of Transport would continue to pay attention so that the project could be implemented as soon as possible./.
