Construction of pedestrian overpass across Le Duan Street, Vinh City

(Baonghean.vn) - To contribute to reducing traffic congestion, meeting travel needs and ensuring traffic safety at Vinh University intersection, the Vietnam Road Administration has just approved the Decision to build a project to handle black spots at Km 466 + 255 Le Duan Street, Vinh City.

The bridge is under construction.

The pedestrian overpass on Le Duan Street, Vinh City, invested by Nghe An Department of Transport, is 36.3m long and 2.4m wide, made of precast steel beams. The bridge is designed with 2 main beams made of I700 steel placed on 3 reinforced concrete piers and 17 horizontal steel beams connected to the main beams with high-strength bolts.

The bridge deck is made of 5mm thick steel plate, covered with a dome-shaped roof. On both sides of the bridge are stairs 1.5m wide, welded to the beam system.

The project started in early September 2016 and was constructed by Thinh Hung Company Limited. According to the contractor's commitment to the investor, the project will be completed by the end of October 2016. Currently, the contractor is mobilizing human resources, machinery and equipment to focus on construction in 3 shifts/day to speed up the completion and handover of the project 20 days ahead of schedule compared to the commitment.
