Comprehensively build district-level police to meet mission requirements

Speaking at the conference, General To Lam - Minister of Public Security affirmed that after 10 years of implementing Directive 03, the effectiveness of all aspects of the work of the district-level police has been improved; the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the district-level police have been adjusted in accordance with the mechanisms, legal policies, and practical situation of security and order assurance work at the district level; the quality of the staff has been constantly improved, contributing to the district-level police performing well the task of ensuring security and order.

In Nghe An, after Directive 03 was issued, the Provincial Police seriously implemented it, attaching importance to the comprehensive construction of the District Police to meet the requirements of ensuring security and order in the new situation. Thereby, the quality of all aspects of the District Police's work has been significantly improved, the people's proposals and recommendations have been resolved quickly and conveniently; the results of investigation and case discovery each year are higher than the previous year. The District Police have also proactively advised the Party Committee and the Government to lead and direct the resolution of many complicated cases of security and order, overcoming the passive and confused situation, which has contributed significantly and positively to ensuring local security and order.

At the conference, the Ministry of Public Security awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive 03.
