Bus lost control, hit old man walking on the side of the road

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 8:30 a.m. on April 30, at km 38+660 of National Highway 46, through Ru Nguoc in Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district, a traffic accident occurred, injuring one person.

The car lost control and ran across the road.

According to witnesses, at that time, bus number 37B 01 422 of Dong Bac bus company was traveling from Vinh to Do Luong when it suddenly lost control and veered to the other side of the road. The bus only stopped when it crashed into two acacia trees.

There were many passengers on the bus at that time but fortunately no one was injured. However, the bus hit Mr. Ngo Duc Thanh (67 years old, residing in Ngoc Son commune, Thanh Chuong district) who was walking on the road.

Mr. Thanh was taken to Thanh Chuong Hospital by his family for emergency treatment with a diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, a long wound on his head, and a lot of blood loss.

Mr. Thanh is being treated at Thanh Chuong District General Hospital.

At the scene, the bus had a dented front part right under the driver's seat, the driver was not present at the scene. The Traffic Police of Thanh Chuong District Police made a record to process.

It is known that National Highway 46 through Ru Nguoc is very dangerous, with mountains and cliffs on one side. On February 10, 2000, an accident caused a passenger bus to fall into the river, killing 18 people.
