Rights and obligations of passenger transport business units by car

Article 58,The 2024 Road Law stipulates the rights and obligations of passenger transport business units by car.as follows:

1. Passenger transport business units by car have the following rights:

a) Collect transportation fees;

b) Refusing to transport passengers who cause public disorder on a vehicle, obstruct the operations of passenger transport businesses by vehicle, affect the life, health, or property of others, or commit ticket fraud;

c) Decide on preferential policies to serve customers and expand business markets.

2. Passenger transport business units by car have the following obligations:

a) Comply with and fully implement regulations on business, conditions for business of automobile transportation, commitments on transportation quality, and transportation contracts;

b) Purchase insurance for passengers; insurance premiums are included in ticket prices and transport contract values;

c) Declare prices according to the provisions of law on prices; provide tickets and documents for collecting transportation fees;

d) Compensate for damages caused by employees and representatives of passenger transport business units by car during the transportation process according to the provisions of law;

d) Implement fare exemptions and reductions for the elderly, people with disabilities and other policy beneficiaries according to the provisions of law;

e) Organizations and individuals without a business license for passenger transport by automobile are not allowed to operate vehicles and drivers or decide fares for passenger transport;

g) It is not allowed to use a person without a driving license or a driving license that is not suitable for the type of vehicle, a person whose driving license has been deducted all points, or a person whose driving license is revoked or has been revoked to drive a passenger vehicle.
