Car carrying disabled people crashed in Nghe An, 2 people died on the spot

At 8:40 a.m. on December 11, a serious traffic accident occurred in Huoi Cang 2 village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An.

The car with license plate 29A-1636 was carrying 7 people from the Charity Art Troupe, part of the Vietnam Vocational Training Center that creates jobs for disabled children.

The initial cause is believed to be that the vehicle lost its brakes and crashed into the road embankment. The result was that two people died: driver Nguyen Cong Minh, born in 1969, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan, born in 1982, both residing in Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan district. Five injured people were treated at the Ky Son District Medical Center, one of whom is in a coma.

Mr. Le Van Quy, residing in Nam Trung commune, Nam Dan district, the victim of the accident, recounted: At around 7am, the car's brakes started to burn out. The driver stopped to check but then continued driving. Suddenly, when he reached Huoi Cang 2 village, Bac Ly commune, the car lost its brakes and crashed into a cliff.

After receiving the information, My Ly Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) deployed a force of 20 officers and soldiers to urgently go to the scene for rescue.

Authorities were present to make a record and investigate the cause of the accident.

Immediately after the accident, representatives of Ky Son district leaders went to the district Medical Center to encourage and support the 5 injured victims, 2 million VND each, and support the families of the 2 deceased victims, 5 million VND each.
