Electric car breaks record, runs more than 1,700 km on just one charge
The Chevrolet Silverado EV electric car set a world record by running 1,704 km on a single charge, equivalent to the distance from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Chevrolet Silverado EV Max Pack Work Truck has officially broken the world record for the longest range of an electric vehicle on a single charge, clocking in at 1,059.2 miles (1,704.6 km), far surpassing the previous record of 749 miles set by the Lucid Air, which was set less than a month ago.

This distance is equivalent to the distance from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City without additional charging, becoming an impressive milestone in the electric vehicle industry.
Test project from GM engineering team
The challenge started out as a small project by a team of General Motors engineers in Michigan, but it quickly became a real-world test of the 2026 Silverado EV’s performance.

Over the course of seven days, a team of 40 employees took turns driving on public roads around Milford Proving Ground and Belle Isle, Detroit.
