Nghe An sleeper bus overturned on a trail, 21 passengers injured and dead

At about 3:45 a.m. on October 9, a sleeper bus with license plate 37B - 020.02 of Anh Tien (in Dien Chau district, Nghe An) carrying about 30 passengers, traveling from Nghe An to Ha Tinh, suddenly overturned into a rice field on the Ho Chi Minh trail (in Ha Trung village, Son Trung commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh).

Mr. Tran Song Hao - Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Trung Commune said: The car accident caused one victim sitting in the back to die on the spot, about 20 others were injured. Immediately after the accident, people near the scene worked with the police to remove the injured person from the overturned car, put him on an ambulance and took him to the emergency room.

The deceased victim was Hoang Van H. (19 years old, residing in Quan Hanh town, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An).

Huong Son District Police requested Ha Tinh Provincial Police to send more Fire Police to the scene to participate in the rescue and lift the overturned car to remove the trapped victim's body.

It is known that the injured victims are mainly from Nghe An, of which 4 people were seriously injured. Currently, Mr. H.'s relatives have come from Nghi Loc district to the scene to receive and bring his body back to Nghe An to hold a funeral.

The cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by Huong Son District Police.
