Passenger bus crashes into truck, driver dies in cabin

(Baonghean.vn) - The accident occurred at around 2:15 p.m. on October 27, on the Vinh City bypass, through Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district.

Mr. Phan Dinh Chuong - Chief of Nghi Dien Commune Police, Nghi Loc District said that at the time, the passenger bus running on the Hanoi - Dak Lak route (unknown license plate, unknown driver) was traveling in the North - South direction. When arriving at the above location, the passenger bus driver was driving at high speed, avoiding another vehicle traveling in the same direction, so he encroached on the adjacent lane.

Just crossing the street, the passenger bus crashed into a small truck (license plate unknown) going in the opposite direction. The impact was so strong that the small truck was crushed, the truck driver (identity unknown) died right in the cabin. The truck driver's body was later pulled out.

The bus veered off the road and crashed into a field, sustaining heavy front-end damage and seriously injuring the driver. The bus was carrying about 50 passengers at the time. Initial reports indicate that many passengers were injured in the accident.

Nghi Dien Commune Police called Nghi Loc District Police, secured the scene and took the injured to the emergency room. Nghi Loc District Traffic Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
