Passenger bus collided with container, 3 people in critical condition, people pry open car to save people
(Baonghean.vn)- The horrific accident happened at around 9:30 a.m. on October 1 on National Highway 48, passing through the gas station in Hamlet 6, Dien Lam Commune, Dien Chau District.
According to people present at the scene, at the time, the passenger bus with license plate number 37B-003.18 (driven by driver Nguyen Van Manh) had 15 passengers on National Highway 48 in the direction of Quy Hop district - Dien Chau.

When reaching the curve in front of the gas station, the bus driver suddenly braked, causing the bus to turn around. Due to the high speed of the bus, the rear of the bus hit the body of a container truck with license plate 37C-108.73 going in the opposite direction.
The strong impact pushed the passenger bus back in the original direction and continued to crash straight into the ornamental bushes in front of the gas station before stopping. Discovering the incident, gas station employees and nearby people immediately ran to pry open the doors and seats to rescue the passengers and take them to the emergency room.

According to the reporter at the scene, 3 passengers suffered serious injuries to their heads and faces. In addition, about 7 people, including children, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Phu Dien General Hospital for emergency treatment. At the scene, the passenger car was parked in the bushes in front of the gas station.
The rear of the bus was completely crushed. The interior was also smashed, with luggage strewn about and broken seats. The container truck itself was dented.
