Car plunges into abyss, Nghe An driver injured in Quang Binh

On the evening of July 20, driver Ho Ba Son (residing in Quynh Bang commune, Quynh Luu district) was injured in an accident in Quang Binh and was taken to Nghe An General Hospital for further emergency care and treatment.

Driver Son specializes in driving tractor trailers on the Thailand - Laos - Lang Son and Ho Chi Minh City - Lang Son routes.

On July 20, Mr. Son drove a tractor with license plate 12C-064.92 pulling a container trailer with license plate 12R-005.44 carrying fruit from Thailand through Laos to Vietnam, passing through Cha Lo border gate (Quang Binh).

At about 12 noon of the same day, when the car had passed Cha Lo border gate (in Hoa Thanh commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province), it encountered a pass, combined with the rain and slippery road, so the car lost control and fell into a deep ravine.

The accident caused the tractor trailer to be severely damaged. Driver Son crawled out of the wreckage and hired a car to take him to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

On the morning of July 21, Mr. Son's relatives said that his health is gradually recovering. At the time of the accident, Mr. Son was alone in the car. The container of mangosteens is worth about 1 billion VND. Mr. Son and his relatives are currently filing a report to the Minh Hoa District police about the incident.

It is known that Mr. Son has difficult circumstances, his father died early, he often has to drive to support his mother.
