Truck broke electric pole, nearly 200 households suffered damage

(Baonghean.vn)- On the evening of January 8, on Highway 22 in Hamlet 3B, Tang Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, a truck pulled and broke a 0.4kV low-voltage power line pole, causing damage to people's property.

At the above time, the truck with license plate 37C-144.28 was driven by driver Tran Van Thin (born in 1987) residing in Hamlet 3, Trung Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, carrying cajuput wood for paper production. Because the truck was oversized, it got caught in a power line crossing the road, and at the same time broke a power pole on the 0.4 kV low voltage line managed by Yen Thanh Electricity, causing a power outage in the entire area.

Although there were no human casualties, the short circuit and high current caused many electrical devices of 172 households in the hamlet to burn. The damage has not yet been estimated.

After the incident, Yen Thanh Power Company's technical team and local police promptly arrived at the scene to make a record, promptly remedy the consequences, and assign responsibility to the vehicle owner to count the damage in order to have a plan to compensate the people for their property.

As of the morning of January 9, the power outage had not been resolved.
