Consider raising the subsidy level for mothers of martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in some localities have proposed to increase the subsidy level for mothers of martyrs. There are not many living mothers, and the current subsidy level is too low.
Regarding this issue, the relevant authorities responded as follows:
Preferential policies for people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives are built on the basis of suitability with the country's socio-economic conditions, in correlation with the general social policy level in each period and the contributions of the subjects.

The current basic allowance for relatives of martyrs is 1,318,000 VND/month (higher than the general minimum wage of 1,150,000 VND/month). This benefit level has been guaranteed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to be in line with the policy level for people with meritorious services and other social policies.
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will be responsible for reporting this opinion of voters to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs for consideration to continue raising the subsidy level in the next adjustments.
