Previously, on September 29, a large amount of rock and soil fell and buried a 100m long section of road at Km148+100 National Highway 48E through Tan Long commune, district.Tan Ky. The traffic management unit has leveled and cleared the route, however, there are still many large hanging rocks on the mountain, posing a risk of rolling rocks.

Faced with that situation, through a survey, the Vietnam Road Administration has allowed Nghe An Road and Waterway Traffic Management and Construction Joint Stock Company to construct and handle rocks hanging on the mountain in this area to ensure safety for traffic.

Up to now, the traffic management unit has handled about 8,000 m3hanging stone, at riskslump, including many large rocks from 400-500 m3. The solution to handle hanging rocks is to drill with expanding powder and use an excavator with a hydraulic hammer to break them.

According to the plan, in December 2022, the traffic management unit will complete the treatment of rocks hanging on the mountain of National Highway 48E through Tan Long and Tan Ky communes, then proceed to install rock gabions to block the landslide area, build longitudinal ditches, and repair damaged road surfaces in this area.
