Young man sentenced to prison for stealing motorbike to go to girlfriend's house
(Baonghean.vn) - Having no vehicle to go out, Vi Van Kham, born in 1997, residing in Keo Luc 2 village, Pha Danh commune, Ky Son district, invited Luong Van Phon, born in 1996, residing in Huoi Thang village, Huoi Tu commune, Ky Son district, to go steal a motorbike.
At around 12:00 on October 29, 2018, after drinking, Kham and Phon invited each other to go to his girlfriend's house in Nhot Kho village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district. Because they did not have a car, Kham discussed with Phon about stealing a vehicle to have a means of transport, and Phon agreed.
The two went to Keo Luc 2 village, Pha Danh commune and discovered a Yamaha Sirius motorbike belonging to Lo Van Tanh parked on the side of the road. Seeing that no one was there, Kham used a knife to break the lock and took Phon to Nhot Kho village, Bac Ly commune. The motorbike was then pawned by Kham and Phon to a stranger for 500,000 VND. The incident was later discovered, so Kham and Phan turned themselves in.
