(Baonghean.vn) - In the internal practice match on the evening of September 27, the Vietnam team was held to a 0-0 draw by the U22 team. In the penalty shootout, Xuan Truong missed his shot. Meanwhile, Doan Van Hau will most likely not be in the starting lineup in the upcoming match.

On the evening of September 27, the two teams had an internal practice match and the press was not allowed to cover it. The practice match had two halves, each lasting 40 minutes. All players were brought onto the field (one team per half).
In the first half, coach Park Hang-seo put on the field a series of new faces or players who had not been called up to the national team for a long time such as Ha Minh Tuan, Vo Huy Toan, Dang Anh Tuan, A Hoang... U22 Vietnam did the same when starting with Ngoc Bao, Viet Anh, Dinh Manh...

Many new players were given a chance in the practice match on the evening of September 27.

With a strong desire to perform and a high determination, the U22 players held their seniors to a draw with the Vietnamese team in the official 80 minutes. Both teams showed tight defense and discipline. The match ended without any goals being scored.

In order to create more opportunities for his players to show their skills, Coach Park Hang-seo decided to organize a penalty shootout. After 5 rounds, U22 Vietnam won 5-4. Luong Xuan Truong was the only one who missed a shot on the Vietnamese team.

The internal practice match aims to help players improve their combat skills after physical and tactical exercises on the field. In addition, the match also helps coach Park Hang-seo have an overview of the personnel of the two teams and test different tactical strategies.

Foul-playing player Que Ngoc Hai recovers in time to face Vietnam team

According to confirmation from Oita Trinita Club, midfielder Thitipan Puangchan cannot practice with the team yet, but can do light exercise again. This is great news for Thai football fans, especially when they have important matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers ahead.

The 26-year-old player was injured after the match against Vietnam on September 5 and had to miss the match against Indonesia 5 days later. Initial diagnosis showed that Thitipan would be out of the field for about 2 months.

With a fiery playing style that is not afraid of collision, Thitipan has been an indispensable name in the midfield of the Thai national team in recent years. This player has only missed one of the last 14 matches of the "War Elephants" due to injury.

In 2019, Thitipan faced the Vietnamese team twice and left his mark with his uncompromising moves. These included the "cross lock" and slapping Doan Van Hau at the King's Cup, or most recently, the situation of using the sole of his shoe to tackle Que Ngoc Hai in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Besides Thitipan, another pillar of the Thai team is also regaining his best form, Teerasil Dangda. The Muangthong United striker has been in good form recently and may be given a chance by coach Nishino during the October training session.

Van Hau has no chance to start in the next match?

"There will be no changes. We will field the same 11 players as last weekend," coach Johnny Jansen told Heerenveen's home page.

Last weekend, Heerenveen hosted Utrecht at home and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Doan Van Hau was on the bench for Heerenveen, but did not get to play. Van Hau was a reserve for left-back Lucas Woudenberg.

With coach Jansen's statement, Van Hau will likely have another round without starting, if there are no surprises from Woudenberg's position.

Since moving to Heerenveen, the 20-year-old has only played in a match for Heerenveen's reserve team. Van Hau played well in the match against Feyenoord's reserve team.

Regarding the upcoming match against Venlo, coach Jansen set a very high goal: "We have to win. The team is on the right track and only lacks points. This is also what we aim for against Venlo. Currently, we have a better squad than them but we have to prove this."

The Heerenveen head coach also spoke about the reason for not making any changes: "We have a plan and we have to stick to it. It is important that everyone follows the plan, otherwise we will become very loose."

The match between Heerenveen and Venlo will take place at 11:30 p.m. on September 28. Venlo is currently above Heerenveen in the Dutch championship standings with 2 points more. After 7 matches, Van Hau's team has only won 7 points.
