Fake tickets appear on the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

There are still 10 days left until the final night of the 2017 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, but fake tickets have already appeared on the market.

Yesterday (June 14), the organizing committeeDa Nang International Fireworks Festival 2017issued a warning about fake tickets for the fireworks finale being sold openly on the market.

The announcement said that right after the fireworks show titled "Water" which took place on the evening of June 3, tickets for the final fireworks show themed "Wood" (evening of June 24) were sold at official ticket sales points. However, in Da Nang City, fake tickets are being sold at much cheaper prices than real tickets.

According to the warning from the organizers, with today's sophisticated printing technology and online ticket sales system, it is very difficult for buyers to distinguish between real and fake tickets.

Accordingly, when buying tickets, people should pay attention to the fact that real tickets have clearly stamped serial numbers and watermarks. Meanwhile, fake tickets being sold on the market have smudged serial numbers and no watermarks.

The serial number of a real ticket shows the capacity of the stand. For example, Stand B2 only has a capacity of 5,877 tickets, corresponding to the serial number from 0000001 - 0005877. Meanwhile, the fake ticket has a serial number that does not show the correct capacity of the stand. "Stand B2 only has a capacity of 5,877 tickets, but on the fake ticket, the serial number is up to 0006696 or higher," said a representative of the organizing committee.

In addition, each ticket has a series number that is not the same, and the right side has a serrated mark after tearing it off the ticket stub. Counterfeit tickets have many duplicate series numbers, and there may be 2 or 3 tickets sharing the same series number. The right side of the counterfeit ticket does not have a serrated mark.

The organizers recommend that to avoid losing money without being able to see the fireworks on the final night, those who buy individual tickets should buy tickets directly at the system of agents posted on the official website of DIFF 2017.

In addition, with the naked eye, buyers can also distinguish fake and real tickets through some signs such as color, shape, and serial number showing the capacity of the stands. Tickets found to be fake will be refused entry to the stands by the organizers.

The final night of the 2017 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, taking place on the evening of June 24, featured the competition of three teams: England, Australia, and Italy.
