Deployment to carry out the mission of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (October 11), the Nghe An Provincial Military Command held a ceremony to launch troops to carry out the mission of searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died in Laos during the 2022-2023 dry season.
Attending the ceremony were Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee 515, along with comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Military Command.

In the 2022 - 2023 dry season, the Collection Team, Political Department, Nghe An Provincial Military Command is responsible for organizing forces and coordinating with relevant agencies of Laos to search for and collect the remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died on Lao soil in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Xay Xom Bun and Vientiane.

In the past time, the Collection Team has proactively advised the Provincial Steering Committee 515 to send a document via diplomatic channels requesting Laos to pay attention, agree, and create favorable conditions for the Collection Team to perform tasks in Laos according to the determined plan. In addition, the unit has organized a sufficient number and quality of staff, launched a competition movement, thoroughly raised awareness and responsibility of Party committees, commanders, officers and employees in the whole team for the task of searching and collecting martyrs' remains. Speaking at the assignment, Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 emphasized: The search and collection of remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died in Laos in the coming time will face many difficulties, hardships and dangers. The weather and climate conditions are harsh, and information about the remains of martyrs is increasingly scarce. Therefore, the Party Committee, commanders, officers and staff of the Collection Team need to clearly define their responsibilities, be determined, and seriously implement effective search measures and plans; focus on measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic while performing tasks in Laos.

In addition, the unit continues to carefully prepare facilities, equipment, and logistics to ensure the best service for the task of surveying, searching, and collecting martyrs' remains. In particular, it regularly coordinates with the Special Task Force and local Party committees and authorities of Laos to grasp the situation, strictly comply with the laws of Vietnam and Laos, local regulations, military discipline, and military diplomacy and people's diplomacy. Do a good job of mass mobilization, coordinate the implementation of search plans in all directions to achieve the best results, ensuring absolute safety for people and technical equipment./.
