(Baonghean) -Quynh Luu III High School (Quynh Luu District) was formerly a branch of Quynh Luu II High School, separated in October 1974. After nearly 1 year of temporary closure in Quynh Bang Commune, on September 5, 1975, Nghe Tinh Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 936/QD-UBND to establish and the school officially moved to Quynh Luong Commune until now.

After 40 years of construction and development, Quynh Luu III High School (hereinafter referred to as Quynh Luu III School) has become a trusted educational address, actively contributing to improving people's knowledge and developing general education for coastal communes of Quynh Luu.

Recalling the early days of its establishment, the school's initial facilities were extremely difficult and lacking. The entire school had only 3 rows of level 4 houses with 15 classrooms, which were built temporarily on a rather wild white sand area by local people's voluntary contributions of materials. However, with the enthusiastic efforts of the teaching staff headed by Principal Hoang Van Tiep, the teachers and students of the school overcame numerous difficulties, both building the school and classrooms and performing teaching duties. In the first course in 1975 - 1976, 149 students graduated to the joy of teachers and people. Since then, after 40 courses, more than 15,000 students have graduated, of which over 5,000 have continued their education or flown to all parts of the country to establish themselves and make a living.

Quynh Luu III School recruited students from coastal communes in the Bai Ngang area of ​​Quynh Luu district at that time, from Quynh Lap and Quynh Phuong communes to Quynh Nghia and Quynh Tien communes to the upper communes such as Quynh Doi, Quynh Yen, Quynh Thanh or An Hoa, Quynh Long, Quynh Thuan, Son Hai and Quynh Tho.

Through many difficulties, the most difficult period was from 1990 to 1993, the school size was reduced to only 10 classes with 378 students, so the school was at risk of having to merge with the secondary school to survive; however, thanks to the spirit of solidarity and overcoming difficulties, the teachers of the school still steadfastly held on, maintained the emulation movement of teaching and learning and gradually brought the school up; the school's training scale gradually increased to 20 classes and then 32 classes; the newly added teaching staff was of better quality. At its peak, Quynh Luu III School had the second largest number of students in the district, with over 2,000 students in 47 classes (currently the school is stable with 39 classes and 1,500 students).

Stabilizing the size of the school is a condition for the school to improve the quality of education comprehensively and promote competition. Every year, the graduation rate is always 95-100%, the number of excellent students and students passing the university entrance exam has increased significantly compared to before. In particular, since 2000, on the basis of promoting good traditions, the school's management apparatus has continued to be improved to maintain the achievements on the one hand; and on the other hand, promote the teaching and learning competition movements.

In addition, to improve the quality of teaching, the teaching staff is constantly supplemented and strengthened in terms of quality and professional qualifications. From 38 teachers at the beginning, the school now has a staff of nearly 100 teachers, of which 18 teachers have master's degrees, 14 teachers have achieved the title of excellent teachers at the provincial level and have 2 provincial-level experience initiatives and 14 level 4 experience initiatives, 15 grassroots emulation fighters. Many teachers of the school have quickly matured through the training process and have been gradually promoted to the management apparatus.

Along with providing knowledge, to help students adapt to the new social environment, the school also takes care of educating students on ideology, ethics, and behavioral skills. At the same time, the school has invested heavily in facilities and teaching equipment; from temporary level 4 houses, up to now, the school has a complete system of facilities with 42 high-rise classrooms, multi-functional rooms for conducting experiments and practices for students; the offices of the Board of Directors, organizations and professional groups are fully and neatly arranged; the school campus is always guaranteed to be safe and clean...

In the past 5 years, the school has had many students winning first, second, and third prizes in provincial competitions for excellent students; the number of students passing university entrance exams has been constantly increasing and many students have achieved high scores in the top 50 nationwide; for 5 consecutive years, the school has had over 45% of students passing university and college entrance exams; in 2015, the school's excellent 11th grade students were ranked among the best in the province; along with intellectual training, students' sense of discipline and conduct have gradually improved significantly.

The growth of the school and the maturity of the students, the first credit belongs to the generation of teachers - the ferrymen who have tirelessly devoted all their intelligence and enthusiasm to the cause of educating people. From the first generation of teachers of Mr. Hoang Van Tiep, Vuong Dinh Loi, Tran Huy Nguyen, Ho Vinh Truyen, Hoang Cuong, Bui Duy Truong, Chu Ngoc Du, Ms. Trinh To Quyen, Ms. Bui Thi Toan... to the second generation of teachers in the 1980s including Mr. Ho Sy Ly, Nguyen Van Quang, Ho Sy Dang, Tran Van Tai, Tran Hai Duong, ... and then added teachers such as Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phuong, Nguyen Xuan Thiem, Nguyen Xuan Trinh, Tran Xuan Cac, Cu Nguyen Long, Ho Minh Tung, Le Van Toan, Ho Than Tu...

The teachers have overcome difficulties in facilities and teaching conditions, persistently guiding students, and improving the school's achievements. The wisdom and efforts of previous generations of teachers are being followed by today's young teachers, gradually bringing the school's "human development" career to new heights, achieving more success. In recognition of these great contributions, over the past 40 years, many collectives, teachers and staff of the school have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training, the General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the education career.

Among the school's students, 4 have become Associate Professors, over 20 have PhD degrees, Institute Directors, Excellent Doctors, Excellent Teachers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, Editors-in-Chief or Deputy Editors-in-Chief of newspapers, hundreds of Masters; many are General Directors, Directors of corporations and large enterprises; thousands of people have become engineers, bachelors and many are now important leaders from the Central to local levels...
