On December 26, 2013, the Central Military Commission (Ministry of National Defense) launched the Campaign “Promoting Tradition, Dedicating Talent, Worthy of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” in the Party Committee of the Army and the entire Army. After 3 years of implementation, the campaign has been deployed comprehensively and synchronously; it is truly a unique and typical feature in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, demonstrating the Army’s high political responsibility before the Party, State and people.

The campaign has become a driving force for the entire army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, proactiveness and creativity, and successfully complete all tasks; contributing to building a politically strong army, constantly improving overall quality and combat strength, and successfully completing the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation. Closely following the assigned political tasks, focusing on implementing well the "3 breakthroughs", creating comprehensive and strong changes in all areas of work and tasks, especially key political tasks.
The entire army has focused on innovating and improving the overall quality of training according to the motto "Basic, practical, solid", ensuring synchronization, depth, closeness to combat reality, grasping the situation, and proactively dealing with situations. The emulation movements "Hard training makes talent, diligently makes good", "Sweat on the training ground, less bloodshed on the battlefield", "Good training, high combat readiness, determined victory in battle"... have encouraged cadres and soldiers to compete...
Over the past three years, the entire army has had 26 collectives and individuals awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces and Hero of Labor in the Renewal Period by the Party and State; 703 collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Government, the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of National Defense, 11 National Emulation Soldiers...

At the meeting, delegates watched a reportage and met with outstanding examples of achievements and feats in the 3 years of implementing the Campaign. Among them were very proud achievements such as the successful research and manufacture of a low-altitude warning radar station with dm frequency by the typical Tran Vu Hop - Director of the Research and Development Center of the Radar Institute under the Viettel Research and Development Institute, Military Telecommunications Group. The successful manufacture of a modern airspace management radar system has made Vietnam one of the 9 countries with the most modern airspace management capacity in the world...
